1.5.1 patch Mac updates (Thanks for screwing me over Blizz)

The 1.5.1 patch came out today and I was extremely pleased until I got down to the Mac section. "Command+Click now correctly works as Right-Click" is what it says, but my question is: what do you mean "correctly????" Do people play Starcraft with a 1 button mouse?! I play on a Macbook pro, but I have a Mac Desktop as well and you can right click with the mac mouses.

But, that is not why I'm mad. Unless I have terribly misunderstood for the last few years, PC users can control + click to select all units of a single type and I'm most certain that this is still in the game. The Mac equivalent of this command has been command + click. I have been using this since the start of SC2 and needless to say I have gotten used to it and do it out of habit.

Now that it is gone, I feel totally lost in game as this was the bread and butter of my micro. I know I can still double click, but I find that incredibly hard during engagements. And plus, if PC users can still control + click, then Mac users have been screwed over. At least give us a way of changing that hotkey! I looked for a good half an hour for how to give myself a way to do it again, and there doesn't even seem to be a hotkey in the menu for that. I have tried control and option and nothing seems to work.

At this point I'm just frustrated and quite a bit upset. I feel like a sprinter with a broken ankle and I don't know if I can stick with Starcraft after this. I know it's something really small, but shouldn't there be equal functionality across operating systems?

I also just found out that the default hotkey for quick ping is Command+Option and left click anywhere, but how can you left click when Command is being held down now? You can't, I've tried.

You're better off, way better off. Just get used to it this way and you'll be happy. I'm sure it's not the best advice, but I promise that things will get better.

Apparently before 1.5, there was an option to have this functionality on Mac. But now, after 1.5.1 it is no longer an option, it has been forced on me instead of something that I want and have been using since day 1.

Also, I've heard your Overlords are getting glued to control groups D:

I actually misread his post, and after talking to him about it I found out mac users are kinda fucked.

HAY TL! I found this over at TL!

Found a solution floating around on the intrawebs.

Just to be clear, this is different from the problem of command and click as right click not working--that to my knowledge has been resolved.

Here's a temporary fix.

1. Go to system preferences

2. Under hardware select keyboard

3. Go to modifier keys

4. From the top drop down menu select apple internal keyboard / trackpad

5. Make the command key control

for now I'm just going to deal with it. Blizzard has said they're aware of it and will be fixing it. Thanks for your help though Noobity :P Always looking out for me!
